FPS & Other Stuff
I’m trying out a new theme at the request of a friend who didn’t like the light text on the dark background. This one seems okay, thoughts?
Poker crap…
So after returning from Vegas I’ve been pretty swingy in the local games. Up 800, down 850, up 300, down 420… After thinking about it for a few days I’ve realized I’ve gotten a small case of FPS (Fancy Play Syndrome) coupled with not being focused when I play.
I can get rid of the FPS pretty easily, it’s just cutting out distractions which I can’t always control that’s my concern now. I’ve just decided that when and if they come up, I’ll just leave the game and come back later. It’s not worth it to play when I’m not focused. A brief break might actually be in order, but I’ll wait till after this weekend to decide that.
I’m feeling judgmental…
I’m tired of hearing about Michael Jackson. I liked some of his music and he is clearly a huge influence on some of the other artists I like, but I don’t need 24/7 coverage of his death and every piece of Jackson family drama spewed repeatedly through every form of media. I just realized I’m sort of contributing to that… it’s fun being a hypocrite.
It’s to bad the PSA that Steve McNair filmed before his death was about suicide, it should have been about fucking around with crazy ass money hungry 20 year old whores. Maybe Kobe can do that one instead.
And now for entertainment stuff…
True Blood is back and its off to a good start. Weeds is sort of hit and miss so far this season, but Entourage comes back Sunday! UFC 100 this weekend too, maybe I won’t be playing as much poker as I thought.
And on a personal note…
After finishing my trip report and reading it again, I really miss Vegas.
